Kazakhstan and Denmark head into their second matchday of the Euro 2024 qualifiers after very contrasting results in the last outing with the Red and Whites moving to the top of the table in the early stages already.

Denmark were excellent at home to Finland last time out and the headlines were stolen by a fantastic hat-trick from Rasmus Hojlund. He scored after 21 minutes in the game before netting two more in the last 10 minutes of the game.

It means the Atalanta man now has three goals in three games for his country and has already become the third-highest scorer currently in the squad amongst the forwards for Denmark.

The 3-1 win over Finland has helped Denmark move on rapidly from their terrible World Cup that saw them score just one goal.

Kasper Hjulmand's men netted that one goal against France in a 2-1 defeat and also drew 0-0 with Tunisia and lost to Australia and crashed out of the competition in last place of their group after great expectation.

Denmark did also finish third in the Nations League campaign late last year, beating France both home and away, while also doing the same to Austria. They did, however, lose both fixtures against Croatia.

Hjulmand's side has remained near enough the same since their World Cup one, although they remain without Christian Eriksen because of his injury picked up against Reading for Manchester United.

As for Kazakhstan, they head into this one after losing a 1-0 lead against Slovenia in a 2-1 loss. Makism Samorodov netted after 23 for them at the Astrana Arena, but two second half goals lost them all three points.

Kazakhstan did have a fantastic Nations League in League C Group 3, however, as they won four games, drew one and lost to only Azerbaijan. They would otherwise defeat Belarus and beat Slovakia home and away, as they also defeated Azerbaijan in the reverse fixture.

The recent loss for Kazakhstan does now mean four losses in a row for the country. The loss against Azerbaijan was coupled with dreadful performances against Uzbekistan and United Arab Emirates that witnessed them concede four goals and score only one.

This should be a fairly easy win for Denmark, despite their poor form during the World Cup. Forebet predicts a win for Denmark and for the game to see over 2.5 goals as they aim to stay top of this Euro 2024 qualifying group.
