United Should Ease to Another Cup Win When Fulham Head to Old Trafford

Manchester United will welcome Fulham to Old Trafford for another FA Cup tie where the Red Devils are still in search of winning three cup competitions this campaign with the Cottagers heading to this one after a drop in form.

United drew with Southampton in the Premier League last time out, but this mainly comes after Casemiro was sent off in the first half and forced United to play with 10 men.

It now leaves the Red Devils nine points behind Manchester City and only above Tottenham Hotspur by two points but with a game in hand on each of those.

Casemiro's red card means he will miss this game and three more on the domestic front, but we should see Marcel Sabitzer and Victor Lindelof return.

Alejandro Garnacho adds to United's injury and suspension woes as he is expected to be out for many weeks, while Christian Eriksen is still at least a month away from returning.

As for Fulham's team news, Willian is facing a late fitness test here but Cedric Soares can now return after missing the clash with Arsenal because it's his parent club. Tom Cairney is not ready to play here, and Neeskens Kebano will miss the rest of the season alongside Layvin Kurzawa.

Fulham were dealt their biggest home loss this past weekend when they were hammered 3-0 by Arsenal at Craven Cottage.

It also means three games without a win for Fulham in the Premier League, having lost to Brentford in a London derby before that, as they drew at home with Wolverhampton Wanderers towards the end of February. They did, however, ease to a 2-0 win over Leeds United in the FA Cup.

Despite United’s 7-0 loss to Liverpool still fresh in the mind of their changing room, the club have swiftly returned to winning ways by beating Real Betis over two legs in the Europa League.

The club are still yet to lose in a domestic cup competition this season after winning the League Cup, and their only defeat in a cup competition came at home to Real Sociedad in the Europa League many months ago.

At the same time, that European loss to Sociedad and a home defeat to Brighton in the Premier League back at the start of the season are the only losses United have experienced at home this campaign.

Forebet now predicts another victory for the Red Devils and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
