Roma to Challenge for the Top 4 Before the Break With a Win Over Torino

Roma are back at the Stadio Olimpico for the final set of Serie A fixtures before the break for the World Cup until January as Jose Mourinho’s men are into sixth now after a troubling run of form seems them on a winless run ahead of Torino’s trip to the Stadio Olimpico.

Mourinho will be pleased at some aspects of Roma’s season and although they are in sixth, it hasn’t been the worst season for his men.

The former Manchester United boss will be satisfied with a recent return to goalscoring form for Tammy Abraham, who despite not getting in the England squad for the World Cup managed to get back on the scoresheet last time out as he got the opening goal against Sassuolo with a fantastic header.

On the other hand, Roma earned just a draw in that match and now still sit behind Inter Milan, Lazio and Atalanta in the race for the Champions League.

Roma will still also be hurting from a defeat against Lazio last weekend as well, where the club never really looked like getting anything out of the game in a 1-0 loss.

Worse yet, Mourinho’s men lost to Napoli three weeks back too, meaning they have just a 3-1 win over 20th-placed Hellas Verona and a narrow victory over 19th-placed Sampdoria to shout about in recent weeks.

Positively for Roma, they will see dropped points above them in some regard, as Inter and Atalanta clash in Bergamo just prior to this game which does mean the sixth-placed side can jump into the top four if results go their way.

Torino are sitting ninth in the table after a decent run which has seen them rack up another easy win in midweek by beating Sampdoria 2-0 where Nikola Vlasic got another goal.

Off the back of beating AC Milan and Udinese 2-1, it does mean the club have only lost to Bologna and Juventus in the past month.

Despite the troubling form for Roma and how Torino have greatly improved in recent weeks, Forebet still anticipates a victory for Mouriho's men. They have been excellent on home soil this season, losing only to Napoli and rivals Lazio, but the latter was technically an away performance for Roma.

Forebet predicts them to win here and under 2.5 goals which would keep them in sixth at least and potentially move them into fourth if other results go their way.
