The winless Elche will travel to the Estadio de Vallecas in search of improving on their one point so far in the league with Rayo Vallecano looking to move into the top half of the table after an up and down start to the 2022/23 La Liga season.
Vallecano, unlike last season, have not started the campaign as brightly as they initially hoped. The 2021/22 campaign that saw them return to Spain's top flight saw them occupy fourth for quite some time before a downfall later in the season. Now, however, they have scored only seven times in six games in La Liga.

Worse yet for the Madrid club, they are also on a two-game losing run right now and have avoided defeat just once in their past five games.
The club first lost to Mallorca at the end of August, before a 2-1 loss to Osasuna. Vallecano would bounce back with an impressive win over Valencia, before losing to Athletic Club 3-2 and then Fuenlabrada 1-0.
Vallecano's only other win in the league has come against Espanyol, as Isi Palazon and Pathe Ciss scored a goal each in a 2-0 win which saw Florian Lejuene get a red card.
They have also drawn with Barcelona this season after racking up a 0-0 draw at the Nou Camp on the opening weekend.
As for Elche, they sit as one of Europe's worst teams so far from those inside the top five leagues. Fran Escribá's men are without a win in La Liga and have lost five games with just two goals on their record so far.
Worse yet, they’ve only actually managed to get one draw too, after a 1-1 draw with Almeira where Alex Collado scored a goal from behind to rack up Elche's only point of the season so far.
No doubt the club is set to fight relegation this season given their standing right now, but with 14 goals already conceded from six games, hope of survival for fans is already beginning to diminish after such a dreadful start and a three-point gap to make up.
Elche have also let in seven goals alone in their past two games after losing 4-1 to Athletic Club and 3-0 to Barcelona.
Forebet predicts Vallecano will win here with the club looking much brighter than the winless Elche. Forebet also expects there to be a few goals in this one with a Vallecano win and over 2.5 goals.
