Matchday 3 of the 2022-23 Bundesliga season gets underway on Friday night, with Borussia Monchengladbach hosting Hertha Berlin at Borussia-Park.
Hertha Berlin find themselves fourteenth in the table – one point clear of the bottom – having taken a solitary point from their opening two games.

At the opposite end of the standings, Borussia Monchengladbach sit third – three points ahead of Hertha and two points behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
Gladbach kicked off their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Hoffenheim. Not only did they enjoy 62% possession, but they also registered up 18 shots.
In their second game, Gladbach claimed a 2-2 draw with Schalke. Once again, they dominated the tie – racking up 69% possession and 14 shots.

Team news: Gladbach will be without club captain Lars Stindl on Friday, as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
Hertha currently have four players sidelined through injury – Dong-jun Lee, Marco Richter, Jessic Ngankam and Kelian Nsona.
