On Saturday afternoon, Hertha Berlin hosts Eintracht Frankfurt at the Olympiastadion as both teams look for their first Bundesliga wins of the 2022/23 season.

The Old Lady kicked off the new league campaign with a 3-1 defeat at Union Berlin in the derby. The defeat follows a DFB Pokal exit at the hands of Eintracht Braunschweig in a penalty shootout.

After a poor campaign last season, the opening day defeat was the last thing that Hertha needed.
In fact, the team from the German capital have now failed to win in four league matches, having suffered three straight defeats. Only a 2-1 aggregate win over Hamburg in the relegation/promotion play-off saved them from relegation.
Hertha’s poor home form towards the end of last season contributed to their close shave with the drop, as they have won just two of their previous nine Bundesliga matches on home soil.
Eintracht Frankfurt
The Eagles followed up a 6-1 home mauling by Bayern Munich on the opening weekend of the league season with a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the European Cup. The gameweek one defeat was not a major surprise considering the opposition.
However, the fact that the visitors have now failed to win in their previous nine Bundesliga matches is slightly concerning.
A poor defensive record has been at the heart of their underwhelming league results, as they have conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven matches in the Bundesliga.
Frankfurt's recent away record also played a part in their poor results towards the end of the season. The visitors have won just one of their last six league matches on their travels.
