Sunday evening brings us an intriguing top six clash in the Norwegian Elietserien between 3rd placed hosts, Viking, and their 6th placed counterparts, Rosenborg, when the two teams face off against each other at the SR-Bank Arena with a valuable three points at stake for both sides.
Taking a look at Viking first, and the hosts have made a solid start to this new Norwegian top flight season as they sit in 3rd spot.

But they already trail the league leaders, Lillestrom, by a six-point margin but the hosts will be hoping they can slash this deficit in half with a win over Rosenborg on Sunday.
However, recent results suggest that Viking could be in for a tougher 90 minutes than they might have previously.
The hosts have failed to win any of their last five matches overall, drawing twice and losing the other three games.
Stalemates with Tromso and HamKam have been followed by three losses on the trot as Viking have succumbed to Stromsgodset, Sandefjord and Haugesund in quick succession and conceding 9 goals in the process.
Although they suffered a recent 3-1 loss to the current Eliteserien league leaders, Lillestrom, Rosenborg have also produced an encouraging start to this new Norwegian top flight season as they sit in 6th place and are just four points behind their hosts prior to this Sunday’s encounter at the SR-Bank Arena.
It’s now just one defeat out of their last six matches overall for Sunday’s visitors, Rosenborg, who have also picked up wins against the likes of Sandefjord, Valerenga and Kristiansund in the process along with picking up points in draws with HamKam and Haugesund as well.
The bigger picture also shows that Rosenborg have produced a consistent sequence of results overall in the domestic top flight.
They have lost just two of their previous 14 games which includes five wins and no fewer than seven draws.
Results away from home though have been less consistent as Rosenborg have collected just three victories in their last 13 outings on the road but having also lost just five of these away games, the visitors at least stand a decent chance of keeping close to their hosts this Sunday.
To sum up, a draw may well be on the cards here.
