In the early hours of Saturday morning, Internacional and Coritiba will face off at Estadio Beira-Rio as the 2022 Brazilian Serie A campaign enters Matchday 14.

Coritiba find themselves fifteenth in the table – one point clear of the relegation zone and six points behind Internacional.

At the opposite end of the standings, Internacional sit fifth – four points behind second-place Corinthians and seven points shy of first-place Palmeiras.

Internacional have lost just two of their 13 Serie A games this season, securing five wins and six draws along the way.

Only league-leaders Palmeiras have suffered fewer defeats this year, while only three teams have picked up more wins.

Remarkably, Internacional have only lost one of their last 17 games across all competitions – sealing eight wins and eight draws in the process.

When you look at the bigger picture, Internacional have suffered just three defeats in their previous 20 home games in Serie A.

On the flip side, Coritiba have only managed to win four of their 13 league matches this term – recording three draws and six losses along the way.

Coritiba head into this clash on a three-game losing run, having fallen to Palmeiras (2-0), Bragantino (4-2) and Athletico-PR (1-0) in recent weeks.

It is also worth noting that Coritiba have failed to win any of their previous five Serie A clashes, registering two draws and three defeats since their last victory.

Having won just one of their past seven league games, Coritiba look set to struggle against in-form Internacional.

Head-to-head: Internacional are currently enjoying a ten-game unbeaten streak against Coritiba in Serie A, with five wins and five draws coming since their last loss.

Coritiba have only managed to win one of their past 14 league encounters with Internacional, so the visitors are expected to claim all three points this weekend.

Team news: Internacional look set to be without the injured quintet of Gabriel Boschilia, Bruno Mendez, Gabriel Mercado, Rene and Rodrigo Dourado this weekend.

As for Coritiba, Andrey remains sidelined with a knee injury. Diego Porfirio and Warley are suspended after seeing red last time out.

When you couple Internacional's current form with their recent record against Coritiba, all the signs point towards a home win.

Forebet predicts that Internacional will claim all three points on home soil, scoring over 1.5 goals on their way to victory.
