The aforementioned back-to-back defeats were relatively rare, as they have lost just three of their last 16 matches in the Premier League.
Zamalek’s recent home record is inconsistent, as they have won just four of the last nine matches on home soil in the Egyptian top-flight. Those recent back-to-back defeats were in their previous two home games in the league.
Their most recent home games have been relatively low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four matches in the Premier League.
The visitors are currently in 16th place in the table, occupying the final relegation berth in the Standings. However, they are level on points with the two teams above them, Arab Contractors and El Gouna.
Ismaily heads into this game on the back of a three-game unbeaten run in the Egyptian top-flight, having recorded two wins and a draw. Last time out, the National Bank of Egypt held them to a 2-2 draw. The game continued a high-scoring trend for Ismaily, as it saw the visitors score at least two goals for the third straight league match.
Although Ismaily has won two of their last three away games in the league, their record of two wins in their previous nine outings on their league travels is a poor one.
