This weekend features the final games of the La Liga 2 regular season and this upcoming clash between basement dwellers, Alcorcon, and the league leaders, Eibar, is a game that the visitors must win in order to confirm automatic promotion back up into the Spanish big time.
As for Alcorcon, the hosts’ fate has already been sealed as they sit rock bottom of the Spanish second tier and some 19 points adrift of safety heading into this final game of the season with only pride left to play for despite holding home advantage at their Estadio Santo Domingo.

With just one win out of their last seven matches overall, that being a 3-0 win away from home at Real Zaragoza, the prospects of a home win here for Alcorcon seem unlikely as the hosts have managed to collect just one win from their last 15 games on home soil.
A 1-0 victory against Huesca has been swamped by seven defeats so Alcorcon’s confidence is likely to be fragile at best, especially as they’ve lost their last three home games on the trot.
By contrast, Eibar sit top of La Liga 2 knowing that all three points away at down and out Alcorcon would send the visitors back up into La Liga for next season but they also know they cannot afford to slip up here either.
Only two points separate the top three clubs in the division with Eibar and 2nd placed Almeria are both level on 80 points apiece.
While 3rd placed Real Valladolid trail by just a two-point margin and are waiting for either Eibar or Almeria to slip up this weekend.
Eibar head into this clash though having won four of their last five games with important victories gained over Malaga, Real Zaragoza, Leganes and Tenerife.
They’ll be hoping that this momentum is enough to get them over the promotion line on Sunday.
The visitors have also lost just twice on their travels in recent weeks in their last 10 games on the road, and this sequence of results also include six wins as well.
While the last meeting between these two sides ended in a 2-1 home win for Eibar so the prospects look favourable for an away win here with Eibar also beating the -0.75 asian handicap line as well.
