Friday evening brings us action from the Irish top flight and the Premier Division clash between Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne when the two teams meet at the Tallaght Stadium with the hosts looking to further strengthen their grip on the top of the table.

That loss ended a previously encouraging and impressive 13-match unbeaten run in the Premier Division which consisted of no fewer than 10 wins.
So the hosts will still feel confident about their chances of returning to winning ways when they return to their Tallaght Stadium on Friday.
Shamrock have also impressed on home soil for some time now as well, as the hosts have won their last five home games on the trot.

Shelbourne have also returned to winning ways in recent weeks in the Irish top flight as the visitors have won their last four games on the trot, picking up wins against Sligo Rovers, Drogheda United, St Patrick’s Athletic and UCD respectively.
This recent turnaround in form is in stark contrast to Shelbourne’s previous results as the visitors had earlier gained just two wins in their preceding 11 matches.
But their welcome re-discovered form has helped lift the Dublin outfit up into 6th place where they trail the top three pack and Dundalk by a seven-point margin.
However, this points deficit could be slashed in half if Shelbourne take all three points away at Shamrock Rovers and as the visitors have suffered just the two defeats in their last eight matches away from home.
The away side look to have a reasonable chance of securing a result of some sort at Tallaght Stadium on Friday night.
In addition, Shelbourne have failed to hit the back of the net in just two of these last eight away games as well, which makes the goals market an appealing prospect for this clash with over 2.5 goals looking the most likely outcome.
