Meanwhile, Manchester United sit sixth – one point outside the top four and 11 points ahead of Southampton.
Man Utd were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley in midweek, despite enjoying 65% possession and racking up 22 shots.
Paul Pogba gave the Red Devils the lead after 18 minutes, while the visitors had a further two goals ruled out. Jay Rodriguez equalised for the hosts just after the break.
Man Utd head into Saturday’s clash on a four-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League, having picked up two wins and two draws since losing to Wolves on January 3.

Regardless of Southampton’s recent upturn, Man Utd should have enough quality to get over the line on Saturday.
