Huddersfield Town will welcome Stoke City to the John Smith’s Stadium this Friday night as the Terriers look to keep in the play-offs in what has been an excellent season for them just as the Potters aim to get back into the top 10.
It has been a rough season for Stoke, who have now seen their play-off hopes slip away greatly after a relatively solid start in the 2021/22 campaign where it looked as if a charge for the top six would be on.

However, the club now sit 11th and given how Coventry City and Luton Town in the two spots above them both sit with a game in hand, Stoke could be set for a fight just to stay in the top half as Sheffield United also have two games in hand on them just below.
Moreover, following their 1-0 loss to Coventry and 3-2 defeat to Fulham, the club have now won just as many as they have lost (11) and drawn the other five. This still puts the Potters with a positive goal difference record though, as the club have netted 32 times and conceded only 29.
Prior to this, however, Michael O'Neill's men did ease past Leyton Orient in the FA Cup and then Hull City back in the league to make it two wins and three defeats this month as Preston North End also took all three points from the bet365 Stadium back on the 3rd.
Huddersfield though, are relentless right now in their pursuit of a Premier League return as they haven't tasted defeat in 10 games in all competitions.
On one hand, this has brought in four draws, but on the other hand, they even managed to beat Premier League outfit, Burnley, at Turf Moor.
Last time out, the Terriers played out a classic with Reading as the club left Royals’ patch with all three points from a 4-3 win as Danny Ward managed to bag a hat-trick.
This result threw the Yorkshire outfit straight into the play-off ranks as they now sit sixth with 44 points from 28 games having now won 12 times and lost eight.
Time will tell if Huddersfield are able to keep this up having jumped in and out of the top six a lot since their demotion from the Premier League three seasons ago.
Right now though, they are one of the league’s most in-form sides and Forebet predicts a win for the home side in a game that sees under 2.5 goals.
