On Wednesday evening, two of the strugglers in Ligue One Troyes and Lorient meet at the Stade de l'Aube, as both teams look for vital points at the wrong end of the French top-flight table.
Troyes are desperate for a turnaround in fortunes, as they currently only sit outside the relegation play-off spot courtesy of superior goal difference to 18th place Clermont.

A 1-0 defeat at Marseille last time out in the French top-flight means that Troyes are winless in four Ligue One matches, having suffered three straight defeats. They have also failed to score in any of those recent defeats.
Finding the back of the net has been a problem for the home side, as they are the joint-lowest scorers in Ligue One alongside Wednesday night’s opponents.
Laurent Battles team has struggled for results on home soil of late in the French top-flight, as they have won just once in their previous eight home matches, dating back to their previous spell in the French top-flight in season 2017/18.
Lorient are another team looking over their shoulders nervously, as the visitors are only two points clear of the relegation play-off spot, while a further point ahead of the automatic relegation spots.
Christophe Pelissier’s team head into this clash on the back of an eight-game winless run in the French top-flight. To make matters worse, a 2-0 home defeat by Rennes last time out was their fourth straight league loss.
As the joint-lowest scorers in Ligue One it is not majorly surprising that Lorient have struggled for goals of late in the French top-flight, as they have scored just once in their previous four outings in the league.
Forebet predicts that this clash of the strugglers will finish in a low-scoring draw, which will not help either team’s chances of breaking away from the relegation zone.
