Brentford host Everton on Sunday in the Premier League. Both teams go into the fixture struggling to find form.
The Bees are winless in five straight Premier League games. After a great start to their first-ever Premier League campaign, the Bees have not won in five straight games with four of those fixtures ending in losses.
💬 Sunday's gameplan"We need to have a mindset to take risks. There’s always that balance because on the flip side we need to defend better in spells. That is nothing to do with us going forward it is more when we are behind the ball"#BrentfordFC #BREEVE pic.twitter.com/8gwJfCYyrL— Brentford FC (@BrentfordFC) November 26, 2021

Everton are inconsistent under Rafael Benitez. Their last six Premier League matches finished without victories. Four of those six matches ended in losses. Everton are coming off of a 3-0 loss to Manchester City on matchday 12.
Brentford are in 14th place in the Premier League table. Just four points separate the Bees from the relegation zone and a need is paramount for Thomas Frank and company.
Everton have taken 15 points from 36 and are 11th in the table. Six points separate the Toffees from the drop.
Everton are last in the Premier League form table. The Toffees took a mere two points from the last 18 available in the league. They scored four goals and conceded 12 to opponents over the course of those last six matches.
Brentford took four points from the last 18 on offer, conceding 12 goals and scoring eight over the course of their last six fixtures.
Both teams go into matchday 13 with a number of injuries. Benitez is more effected by injury problems than his managerial counterpart, however.
Everton could be without up to eight players. Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is ruled out with a thigh injury. Meanwhile, Mason Holgate, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Richarlison, Yerry Mina, Tom Davies, Andre Gomes, and Demarai Gray are all ruled out due to various injuries.
Frank also has eight players on the injury list. The difference for the Brentford manager is that several of his injured players could be passed fit for Sunday. Forward Yoane Wissa, Mathias Jorgensen, and Mathias Jensen are all in line to make the squad.
However, Mads Sorensen, David Raya, Kristoffer Ajer, Julian Jeanvier, and Joshua Dasilva are all ruled out. Goalkeeper Raya’s injury is a major blow. He has missed three straight games already as the defence has conceded seven goals in those three fixtures.
With neither side in form going into the match, both managers will be seeking points of any kind to move away from the relegation zone.
A draw is likely to be the final result of Sunday’s game at the Brentford Community Stadium as both teams score and combine for under 2.5 goals.
