Chelsea will be hopeful of extending their winning streak to 11 games when they welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Blues find themselves at the top of the Premier League table – three points clear of Manchester City – having lost just one of their opening 12 matches.

Meanwhile, Man Utd are down in eighth place – 12 points behind Chelsea – after losing four of their previous five league outings.

Thomas Tuchel’s side head into Sunday’s showdown on the back of a hugely impressive 4-0 victory over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.

Reece James got on the scoresheet yet again on Tuesday, taking his tally for the season to five goals and five assists across all competitions.

In the Premier League, the Blues beat Leicester 3-0 last weekend. They have now won five of their last six league games, picking up a single draw along the way.

Remarkably, Chelsea have conceded a measly four goals in 12 Premier League outings this term, with Edouard Mendy keeping seven clean sheets in the process.

Since Tuchel’s team have scored at least one goal in each of their previous ten games, they shouldn’t struggle to get the better of an indifferent Man Utd side on Sunday.

The Red Devils come into their first league game after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking on the back of a 2-0 win over Villarreal in the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring, netting his tenth goal of the season, before Jadon Sancho opened his Man Utd account to seal the victory.

Solskjaer’s sacking came after a humiliating 4-1 loss to Watford last weekend. That defeat means United have won only one of their past seven league games.

Although interim boss Michael Carrick oversaw a decent win in midweek, Man Utd will almost certainly struggle to cope with in-form Chelsea at the Bridge.

Head-to-head: Chelsea and Man Utd produced two goalless draws in the Premier League last season, meaning the Blues are unbeaten in their last three meetings with the Red Devils.

That said, Chelsea have only managed to win one of their last nine matches against Man Utd across all competitions.

Team news: Ben Chilwell and N’Golo Kante are both doubts for Sunday’s clash after picking up injuries against Juventus. Mateo Kovacic remains sidelined.

With Harry Maguire suspended and Raphael Varane injured, Carrick will be forced to construct a makeshift backline this weekend. Paul Pogba is a long-term absentee for United.

Chelsea are arguably playing some of the best football in Europe at the moment. Unfortunately for Man Utd, they are not in a good place right now.

Forebet predicts that Chelsea will cruise to a comfortable victory on Sunday, scoring over 2.5 goals in the process.
