Marseille will be keen to extend their unbeaten run in the French top flight to six matches overall in Ligue 1 when they play host to lowly Troyes at their Orange Vélodrome in this Sunday evening clash.
Recent points picked up in draws with PSG, Nice and Metz have been further boosted by wins collected against Lorient in a 4-1 romp at home along with a 1-0 win on the road away at Clermont and has also helped Marseille up into the top five of Ligue 1 as well.

Marseille have proved to be stubborn opponents so far in this season’s Ligue 1 campaign as the hosts have lost just two of their 13 league matches so far this term which came in the shape of defeats against Lens and Lille.
Conversely, Marseille have suffered just the one defeat on home soil from their previous 15 home matches in the French top flight and includes nine victories which should stand the hosts in good stead for this upcoming encounter against Troyes whom they’ve been unbeaten against in the last five meetings.

Indeed, Troyes have won just three of their last 17 matches overall in the French top flight and this sort of previous form certainly doesn’t appear to bode well for the visitors for this upcoming trip to the Orange Vélodrome this Sunday.
In addition, Troyes have won just two of their previous 23 matches on their travels while the visitors have also slipped to 17 defeats within this disappointing sequence of results on the road and this could once again hold Troyes back on Sunday evening.
With just one clean sheet gained in these last 23 away games, Troyes look to have their work cut out ahead of this upcoming encounter against Marseille who have held the upper hand in previous exchanges.
