Roma will be seeking to collect back-to-back wins in the Italian top flight when they play host to Torino at their Stadio Olimpico when the two teams meet on Sunday evening.

Despite falling to two defeats on the trot in recent weeks in Serie A to AC Milan in a 2-1 loss at home and a 3-2 loss away from home at Venezia, Roma managed to record a bounce-back 2-0 win away at Genoa last time out which should give Sunday’s hosts plenty of confidence ahead of Sunday’s clash against Torino.

Recent results overall in Serie A have been inconsistent for Jose Mourinho’s team as the hosts have managed to win just four of their last 10 matches which includes victories over Udinese, Empoli, Cagliari and Genoa.

Roma have also suffered four defeats within this 10-match sequence but three of these losses were incurred away from home while overall performances on home soil have been fairly encouraging.

Although they were handed a 2-1 loss to AC Milan last time on home soil, that has been Roma’s only defeat in their last 10 games at the Stadio Olimpico.

Onto Torino, and the visitors have made a much better fist of things this time around in this season’s Serie A campaign as the away side currently occupy a much more respectable looking mid-table position of 11th prior to this weekend’s action.

However, it should be pointed out that although Torino have already picked up five wins to date this term in the Italian top flight, four of these five wins were registered on home turf at their Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, while results away from home so far this season have been disappointing.

Torino have won their last three home games on the trot having gained victories over Genoa, Sampdoria and Udinese respectively, but by contrast, Torino have suffered three defeats on the trot on their travels following losses at Napoli, AC Milan and Spezia.

All three of these recent losses were also to nil while the bigger picture shows that Torino have managed to pick up just one win from their previous 10 games on the road which came in the shape of a 1-0 win at 13th placed Sassuolo.

Roma have lost just two of their previous seven meetings against Torino and the hosts should hold the upper hand in this clash too.
