Gerardo Seoane’s team has taken ten points from their four group games and are unbeaten in the group stages of the Europa League. A draw would be enough for qualification for the last-32 of the competition.
Last time out in the Europa League, Die Werkself hammered Spanish team Real Betis 4-0. The game saw Bayer score at least two goals for the third time in four Group G matches, including the reverse fixture when they hammered Celtic 4-0 at Celtic Park.
Bayer Leverkusen have an impressive recent record at the BayArena in the Europa League, as they have won seven of their last eight home matches in the competition. They have also scored at least two goals in six of the eight matches on home soil.
Celtic head into this game on the back of a good run of form that has seen the Hoops go unbeaten in nine matches in all competitions, having recorded eight victories.
However, when it comes to the Europa League they are playing catch up after losing their opening two group games in the competition.
Back-to-back wins over Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros have given the Scottish giants a chance of making the knockout stages. They are currently third place in the group, a point behind second-place Real Betis and four behind the hosts.
Celtic’s away form in the Europa League has not been great, as they have lost two of their previous three matches on their travels in the competition.
Forebet predicts that Bayer Leverkusen will seal their place in the knockout stages of the competition by recording a comfortable victory in a high-scoring game.
