Leicester City have suddenly found form. After blowing hot and cold to begin the season, Brendan Rodgers’ team are unbeaten in three straight games and have won back-to-back matches in all competitions.
The Foxes came from behind to defeat Manchester United at home on matchday 8 before going to Russia to defeat Spartak Moscow 4-3 in the Europa League in midweek. It was the first time this season the club had won back-to-back games.

Brentford may have been promoted through the playoffs last season, but they are one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League this term.
The Bees are coming off of a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in which they battered the reigning European champions.
Had it not been for Edouard Mendy’s incredible goalkeeping, Brentford would have taken points off of the Blues. Unfortunately for Thomas Frank, it wasn’t meant to be. Still, Brentford are ninth ahead of matchday 9 with 12 points from 24 possible.
Brentford are just three points off of the top six. Leicester City have taken 11 points from 24 possible. A win would take them into the top eight.
Although these teams have not been in the same division over the last 20 years, Brentford and Leicester City met in 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons in the FA Cup. Both games were played in west London with Leicester City winning the fixtures by a combined 4-1 score.
Frank could have up to five players missing due to injury. Forward Yoane Wissa, who has been brilliant off the bench scoring goals, has an ankle injury and is ruled out of the match. Vitaly Janelt could be back from injury for the game.
The manager won’t have the trio of Mads Sorensen, Josh Dasilva, and Shandon Baptiste. All three players are ruled out of the match.
Rodgers has six players on the injury list at Leicester City. Wesley Fofana and James Justin are long-term injury issues and will remain out. Wilfried Ndidi is also ruled out of the fixture due to injury.
Influential midfielder Youri Tielemans is a major doubt due to an ankle injury suffered in midweek Europa League play. Timothy Castagne is a doubt with thigh muscle injury. Ayoze Perez is also a doubt to play due to injury.
If there is an issue for Rodgers, it is the team coming back from Russia and the fatigue of playing in midweek. However, Leicester City are improving quickly and should win for a third straight game against Brentford.
Like the teams’ FA Cup match last season, matchday 9’s match should finish with both teams scoring, over 2.5 goals, and the Foxes winning.
