Manchester City have defeated Burnley 5-0 in four straight matches at the Etihad Stadium. It is an incredible record and the Cityzens could win for a fifth straight game against Burnley by a 5-0 score on Saturday.

Burnley are 19th in the league table and showing few signs of getting away from the relegation zone.

The Clarets have taken three points this season which have all come from draws. Burnley drew back-to-back games before the international break against Leicester City and Norwich City.

Manchester City top the current Premier League form table.

They took 14 points from the last 18 on offer, scoring 14 times and conceding twice. Those two goals conceded came against Liverpool on matchday 7 at Anfield.

Burnley took three points from the last 18 on offer in the league. They were outscored 9-4 over the course of those six matches. Sean Dyche needs the team to improve quickly due to rescue themselves from relegation.

This season may be the first time that Dyche cannot rouse the team to relegation survival.

Burnley have little in the way of attacking quality. They have scored the joint second-fewest goals in the Premier League with just five this season.

Pep Guardiola is likely to start goalkeeper Zach Steffen in goal due to Ederson playing in Brazil’s win over Uruguay on Thursday night (Friday morning Europe time) in World Cup qualifying. Ederson will meet up with the team in midweek for a Champions League game versus Club Brugge.

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ilkay Gundogan are both in line to return to the team this weekend from injury. Gabriel Jesus will miss the game as well due to arriving late back for the game. Striker Ferran Torres is ruled out of the match with an injury.

Dyche is likely to be without defender Ben Mee after testing positive for coronavirus. The fitness status of Maxwel Cornet has improved and the former Lyon man should be fit to play.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Matej Vydra, and Charlie Taylor are all potentially set to return to the team. Dale Stephens is ruled out of the match with an ankle injury, however.

Manchester City are winless in their last two games in all competitions. On Saturday at the Etihad Stadium, they will end their winless streak against Burnley with a resounding win to nil. The Cityzens should score over 3.5 goals against Burnley and easily win the game.
