The first North London Derby of the season sees Tottenham Hotspur visit Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

The two rivals are currently separated by three points in the table, with seventh-place Spurs leading thirteenth-place Arsenal.

The Gunners made a poor start to the campaign, losing each of their opening three Premier League matches.

They have since bounced back, however, winning both of their previous two league games – beating both Norwich and Burnley 1-0.

Arsenal also extended their winning streak in all competition to three games on Wednesday, beating AFC Wimbledon 3-0 in the Carabao Cup

Having scored just two goals in five Premier League outings, Mikel Arteta’s men are currently the joint-lowest scorers in England’s top tier.

They have also conceded nine goals this term, meaning only three teams – Leeds, Newcastle and Norwich – have a poorer defensive record.

Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo could not have dreamed of a better start to his career as Tottenham boss.

The former Wolves manager won each of his opening three Premier League games, beating Manchester City, Wolves and Watford.

However, things have taken a turn for the worse since then. Spurs have lost each of their last two league matches 3-0, going down to Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

Nuno’s men managed to restore some pride in midweek, though, as they beat Wolves on penalties in the third round of the EFL Cup.

Despite sitting seventh in the table, only three teams – Arsenal, Wolves and Norwich – have scored less Premier League goals than Tottenham this term.

Head-to-head: Tottenham have only managed to win two of their last 25 away games against Arsenal in all competitions.

That said, Spurs have lost just one of the previous six North London Derbys and have scored at least on goal in each of their last eight meetings.

It is also worth pointing out that Spurs have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 21 away games against the Gunners in the Premier League.

Team news: Arsenal welcome back Granit Xhaka from suspension this weekend, although Kieran Tierney is an injury doubt.

As for Tottenham, they are waiting to assess the fitness of Lucas Moura, Ryan Sessegnon and Steven Bergwijn.

Three of the previous four meetings between Arsenal and Spurs have produced over 2.5 goals, meaning we should see a high-scoring match on Sunday.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score at the Emirates. However, Tottenham are expected to come out on top.
