Inter Milan will welcome Bologna to the San Siro this weekend as the Serie A champions look to continue their march towards the top of the table once more after a fantastic start to the campaign from teams around them.

Besides Juventus, the top clubs in Italy have all had positive starts to the Serie A season and Inter will need to grab three points here in order to keep up their title defence early on.

Bologna, however, are right in the mix at the top end too, following their brilliant start.

The club are one of the six unbeaten sides still left in the Italian top flight after three games, having won two and drawn one.

On the other hand, they did also lose to the struggling Serie B side Ternana in the Coppa Italia, which slightly dampened what has otherwise been a sensational start for their standards.

Bologna played out a thrilling 3-2 win over Salernitana on the opening weekend, as they welcomed them to Serie A.

This was a great chance for the Red and Blues to get off to a flyer and leap away from the relegation fighters, and they did so with goals from Lorenzo De Silvestri and Marko Arnautovic in a 3-2 win.

Soon after, a 0-0 draw would be played out against the serial goalscorers Atalanta, which in itself is a commendable result given how many goals they have scored since joining the Serie A ranks a few years back.

Most recently, Bologna returned to winning ways as they beat Hellas Verona late on with a goal from Mattias Svanberg, and as a result, they remain unbeaten in Italy’s top tier and haven’t conceded a goal in their past two games.

Inter, on the other hand, have started equally as admirably with the champions only slipping up this past week as they tasted a draw and a defeat within the space of three days.

Firstly, Simone Inzaghi’s men drew 2-2 with Sampdoria as Federico Dimarco and Lautaro Martinez's goals were cancelled out either side of half time.

The Italian champions also lost to Real Madrid in midweek, so three points are going to be crucial here in order to return to some sort of form and carry on their title defence in style.

Despite the positive form of Bologna, Inter should be too strong and Forebet predicts a game of under 2.5 goals but a win for the Milan outfit after scoring a commendable nine goals in three Serie A games.
