Leicester City and Manchester City are locked on six points in the Premier League table as the two sides prepare to do battle at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams have taken six points from a possible nine this season, meaning we are set for a tight encounter in the East Midlands.

Let’s start by look at the home side, who have picked up a series of mixed results during the early stages of the new campaign.

After beating Wolves 1-0 on the opening weekend, Leicester were hammered 4-1 by West Ham, with Ayoze Perez seeing red just before half-time.

The Foxes managed to bounce back last time out, though, picking up an important 2-1 victory over Norwich City.

Jamie Vardy opened the scoring against the Canaries, taking his tally to two goals in three games after netting against Wolves.

Let’s not forget that Leicester have already beaten Man City this year, having triumphed in last month’s Community Shield.

If Brendan Rodgers’ men want to seal back-to-back wins over the reigning champions, they will need to be at their absolute best on Saturday.

Man City kicked off their campaign with a disappointing 1-0 loss to Tottenham. But since then, they have flexed their muscles.

After crushing Norwich 5-0 on Matchday 2, Pep Guardiola's men dispatched Arsenal last time out – recording exactly the same scoreline.

Eight different Man City players have already found the back of the net this term, while Gabriel Jesus has three assists to his name.

When you look at the bigger picture, Man City have only lost five of their previous 33 Premier League matches.

Trends also show that Guardiola’s side are unbeaten at half-time in each of their last 15 away games in the Premier League.

Head-to-head: Thanks to last month’s Community Shield triumph, Leicester have won two of the last three meetings between these two sides.

That said, Man City have only lost two of their previous 12 matches against the Foxes in all competitions.

Team news: Leicester have a number of defensive injuries at the moment, with Wesley Fofana, James Justin, Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans and Jannik Vestergaard all out.

Man City are still without the injured Phil Foden, although Kevin De Bruyne could come back into the team after a spell on the sidelines.

Although Leicester have won two of their last three games against Man City, the champions’ quality is likely to shine through this time around.

On the back of two straight 5-0 victories, Forebet predicts that Man City will edge out Leicester – keeping a clean sheet on their way to sealing all three points.
