Tottenham know they have a crucial evening of football ahead of them on Thursday night when they play host to Portuguese club, Pacos Ferreira, in the 2nd leg of their play-off tie in the Europa Conference League at their Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Following last week’s narrow 1-0 defeat at the Estádio da Capital do Móvel against Pacos Ferreira, Tottenham quickly bounced back with a 1-0 win away from home at Wolves in the Premier League and indeed, Spurs have produced some encouraging results in recent times.

Tottenham have suffered just the one defeat out of their last nine games in all competitions and although the bulk of these results were in pre-season friendlies, the hosts have still recorded notable wins against Leicester City (on the final day of last season) along with this season’s victories over Manchester City and Wolves in the Premier League.
Results at home overall have also been impressive for the north London outfit as Spurs have lost just two of their last 12 matches on home soil, while also picking up 10 wins in the process, so the hosts will be confident that they can not only win on the night here, but also overcome the 1-goal deficit too.
Pacos Ferreira hold a slender 1-goal advantage heading into this return leg in north London but they suffered defeat on Monday night in the Portuguese Primeira Liga as they went down to a 3-1 loss at home to Estoril.
Overall results for the visitors have been pretty inconsistent as they’ve posted wins against Gil Vicente in the Taca de Liga cup, Europa Conference League wins against Larne and Tottenham, along with a Primeira Liga victory over Famalicao.
However, the visitors have also suffered three defeats out of their last four games overall, while the wins were all recorded on home turf at their Estádio da Capital do Móvel.
Pacos Ferreira have fallen down though on their travels as the Portuguese side have managed to collect just three wins from their last 14 matches on the road, with only one of these wins being in competitive football.
The visitors have also suffered nine defeats within this 14-match period and this could be the decisive factor in determining the outcome of this crucial tie on Thursday night.
