The home side enjoyed a decent pre-season after losing their last four league matches last season in the top-flight, as they suffered relegation.
The Baggies are now winless in the Championship in five outings, which dates back to season 2019/20 when they won promotion. Many of the same players are still at the club. Their experience of the second tier will be needed, as the team from the Midlands looks for a quick return to the Premier League.
West Brom have a good recent record against Luton, winning the last four meetings with the Hatters. Two of those wins were in their last spell in the second tier.
Luton kicked off their Championship campaign with a 3-0 home thumping of Peterborough. However, last time out they suffered a penalty defeat in the League Cup first round at Stevenage after a 2-2 draw.
Nathan Jones’ team finished last season with an inconsistent run of form, including failing to win any of their last three outings in the second tier.
The visitors were highly inconsistent on their travels towards the end of last season. In fact, they have won six and lost six of their previous away games in the Championship.
Their last three away matches in the second tier all produced over 2.5 goals. That record could continue if their first two games of the season are anything to go by.
However, Forebet predicts that West Brom will pick up their first league win of the season in a relatively low scoring encounter.
