In the early hours of Sunday morning, RB Bragantino will look to continue their decent start to their Serie A season, as they welcome Gremio to the Estadio Nabi Abi Chedid.
Rb Bragantino are currently fourth place in the Brazilian top-flight table after a solid start to their Serie A campaign. They currently occupy one of the Copa Libertadores qualification spots for next season.
However, the home sides form has slipped of late, as a 1-0 defeat at Fortaleza last time out in the league means that they have failed to win in four outings in Serie A. On the flip side, the defeat was also their first league loss this season.
Mauricio Barbieri’s team are unbeaten in 12 home matches in Serie A, although five of their last six league matches on home soil have produced draws. Their recent home games have not always been high-scoring, but both teams have scored in five of their previous six matches on home soil.
Gremio’s aims are very different from the home team at the moment, as they are 19th place in the table, four points from the safety of 16th place.
The visitors have won just once in the Brazilian top-flight this season. However, they go into this game unbeaten in three league matches following a win and two draws. That decent run of form offers encouragement that the visitors are moving in the right direction at least.
A lack of goals has been a problem of late, as Gremio have scored just two goals in their last seven outings in the Brazilian top-flight.
Their away form has also been an issue, as they have lost five of their last six Serie A matches on their travels. However, they did claim a 1-0 win at Fluminense in their last away game in the Brazilian top-flight.
Forebet predicts that RB Bragantino will get back to winning ways by recording a win in a low-scoring encounter.
