The Swedish Allsvenskan action resumes this weekend and features the clash between high-flying Djurgarden and strugglers, Orebro, in Sunday evening’s encounter at the Tele2 Arena with Djurgarden looking to return to winning ways.

Djurgarden have made a promising start to the new Allsvenskan campaign as the hosts have suffered just the one defeat out of their opening eight matches of this new season which came in the form of a 2-0 loss away from home at Degerfors, but otherwise, the hosts have shown some consistent form already.

Djurgarden started their season in explosive fashion by winning their first four matches on the trot with victories collected against Elfsborg, Norrkoping, Varberg and most impressive of all, a 3-1 home win against Malmo.

Following the loss on the road at Degerfors, Djurgarden have bounced back in impressive style by recording a 2-0 home win over Ostersunds and picking up points in draws with Hammarby and Goteborg.

The hosts are also unbeaten in their last five matches on home turf at their Tele2 Arena, winning four of these five, while also keeping four clean sheets into the bargain.

Orebro have struggled so far in this season’s Swedish Allsvenskan campaign as the visitors currently find themselves languishing in the lower reaches of the division, sitting second from bottom after picking up just two wins to date this term.

Despite recording recent back-to-back wins against Halmstad and Hacken, Orebro have found life tough going so far in the Swedish top flight as they’ve also succumbed to five defeats within their last seven matches overall, which has left them in the early relegation places in the division.

Defeats suffered against Ostersunds, Kalmar, Norrkoping, Degerfors and Malmo have done little to improve their current situation while results on the road continue to hamper Orebro and their hopes of climbing away from the bottom of the table.

The visitors have lost four of their last five matches on their travels and although they registered a 3-2 win away at Hacken, Orebro have conceded a total of 12 goals in their four recent losses away from home and have also failed to score in each of these four defeats as well.

This therefore doesn’t bode well for Orebro as they prepare for this outing to face high-flying Djurgarden, and the visitors look to have their work cut out here.
