Fantasy Premier League Picks – Gameweek 36+

Fantasy Premier League Picks – Gameweek 36+
    13/07/20 4964

There are now just three Gameweeks left in the 2019/20 Premier League season, but there is still plenty of time to get the upper hand in your Fantasy leagues. The games are coming thick and fast at the moment, so make sure you keep on top of your transfers!

Don’t forget, the transfer deadline for Gameweek 36+ ends at 19:15 (BST) on Tuesday, July 14, one hour before Chelsea vs. Norwich City kicks off.

    Goalkeeper

    Nick Pope – Burnley

If it wasn’t for the efforts of Nick Pope, Burnley would have almost certainly lost to Liverpool at the weekend. The England shot-stopper earned his side a valuable point at Anfield with a number of top-quality saves, and he now sits level with Manchester City’s Ederson at the top of the Premier League clean sheet charts.

    Defenders

    Matt Doherty – Wolverhampton Wanderers

Only Liverpool trio Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Andy Robertson have scored more FPL points as defenders than Matt Doherty this season. The Wolves wing-back has been immense throughout 2019/20, and he’ll be full of confidence after seeing off Everton 3-0 on Sunday.

    Toby Alderweireld – Tottenham Hotspur

Toby Alderweireld has been in and out of the Tottenham side since Jose Mourinho took charge, but he marked his return with the winning goal in the North London derby last time out. The solid center-back is a threat in both boxes, and his performance against Arsenal means he will surely keep his place in the team this week.

    Midfielders

Michail Antonio – West Ham United

Michail Anotonio is on fire right now! The versatile Hammer scored all four goals in a thumping victory over Norwich at the weekend, meaning he now has seven goals and two assists in his previous eight Premier League appearances. In that kind of form, you’d be foolish to leave him out of your team.

    Raheem Sterling – Manchester City

After netting a hat-trick against Brighton, Raheem Sterling is now enjoying the best goalscoring season of his career. The 25-year-old has racked up six goals and one assist and six games since the restart, and he’ll be confident of adding to his tally against relegation-threatened Bournemouth this week.

    Forwards

    David McGoldrick – Sheffield United

David McGoldrick has waited all season to score a Premier League goal, but managed to score two in Sheffield United’s impressive 3-0 win over Chelsea. Having also netted in the Blades’ FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal, it’s fair to say that McGoldrick is one of the division’s in-form strikers at the moment.

    Troy Deeney – Watford

Troy Deeney scored six goals in 11 games before the break, but he went five games without scoring after the restart. However, the Watford striker scored both his side’s goals as the Hornets beat Newcastle last time out. Watford are desperate to secure their safety, and a trip to fellow relegation-struggler West Ham provides Deeney with the perfect opportunity to score in back-to-back games.
