It’s a quick turnaround in Fantasy Premier League this week, with the Gameweek 31+ transfer window ending one hour before Leicester take on Brighton on Tuesday evening.
So, to help you make some decisions before the deadline, why not check out this week’s top FPL picks? Let’s get stuck into it!
Rui Patricio – Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolves returned to action with a comfortable 2-0 victory over West Ham on Saturday. Despite the Hammers registering six shots on target, Rui Patricio managed to keep a clean sheet. The Portuguese will be confident of keeping another clean sheet this week as struggling Bournemouth come to town.
Lewis Dunk – Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton may not have been able to prevent Arsenal from scoring at the weekend, but Lewis Dunk scored the Seagulls’ equaliser before Neal Maupay netted the winner. The giant center-back is a real threat at both ends of the pitch, making him a standout FPL pick for a number of reasons.
Benjamin Mendy – Manchester City
Mendy has struggled with injury ever since he arrived at the Etihad Stadium, but the Frenchman looked sharp as Man City brushed aside Arsenal in their first game back. The left-back has a license to roam up and down the wing, meaning he is prone to picking up an assist, as well as a clean sheet.
Stuart Armstrong – Southampton
Southampton resumed with a resounding 3-0 win against Norwich, and Stuart Armstrong was arguably the star of the show. The Scottish midfielder notched up a goal and an assist at Carrow Road and looked like he’d never been away. In fact, Armstrong now has four goals in his last seven top-flight appearances.
Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United
There is no denying that Bruno Fernandes has transformed Manchester United since joining the club in January. The former Sporting star scored against Spurs on Friday, taking his overall tally to three goals and three assists in just six Premier League outings. With those sorts of numbers, you’d be foolish to leave him out of your team.
Raul Jimenez – Wolverhampton Wanderers
Raul Jimenez set the record for the most goals scored by a Wolves player in a single Premier League season when he netted against West Ham at the weekend. The Mexican is enjoying a superb season (23 goals and ten assists in all competitions in 2019/20) and wasted no time in picking up where he left off before the campaign was put on hold.
Danny Ings – Southampton
Talking of players picking up where they left off, Danny Ings bagged his 16th league goals of the season against Norwich last time out. The Saints striker looked razor-sharp in his first game for over three months, and he’ll be confident of adding to his tally against a leaky Arsenal defence on Thursday.
