Fantasy Premier League Picks – Gameweek 30+

The Premier League resumes on Wednesday, and with it comes the return of Fantasy Premier League. It has been announced that we can make unlimited transfers between now and the Gameweek 30+ deadline on June 17 without using a wildcard. So, who should you be bringing into your team?

It’s important to remember that Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Manchester City, and Arsenal all return with a double gameweek, as each side has a game in hand on Wednesday. With that in mind, let’s take a look at this week’s top FPL picks.

    Goalkeeper

    Dean Henderson – Sheffield United

The on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper has enjoyed a remarkable breakthrough season at Bramall Lane and has played a pivotal role in helping Sheffield United achieve the second-best defensive record in the Premier League this season. Only two goalkeepers – Liverpool's Alisson and Burnley’s Nick Pope – have kept more clean sheets Henderson in 2019/20.

    Defenders

    Aymeric Laporte – Manchester City

After missing the majority of the campaign through injury, Laporte was back in Pep Guardiola’s staring XI before the COVID-19 suspension. The three-month lay-off will have given the centre-back plenty of time to regain fitness, so he is likely to feature in both of Manchester City’s games this week.

    George Baldock – Sheffield United

You simply have to include a Sheff Utd defender in your team. John Lundstram is the highest scoring Blades defender in FPL this term, but he was in and out of the team before the break. George Baldock is the second-highest scorer in the Sheff Utd backline, but he has featured in every top-flight game for Chris Wilder’s side this season.

    Midfielders

    Jack Grealish – Aston Villa

If Aston Villa are to stand any of chance of avoiding relegation this season, star man Jack Grealish must hit the ground running when the campaign resumes. The 24-year-old has racked up seven goals and six assists in the Premier League this season, while singlehandedly keeping Villa afloat. He seems like a must have.

Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne was in scintillating form before the season was put on hold. The Belgian magician has eight goals and a whopping 16 league assists to his name this term, so you’d be foolish to bet against him adding to his tally this week with Man City playing two games.

    Forwards

    Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang – Arsenal

There is no denying that Aubameyang has been Arsenal’s most consistent performers throughout 2019/20. The Gunners hitman is only two goals behind Premier League top scorer Jamie Vardy and will fancy his chances of chasing down the Leicester striker in the coming weeks.

    Jamie Vardy – Leicester City

Sure, Leicester don’t have a double gameweek. But how can you leave out the division’s leading marksman? With unlimited transfers allowed, it makes sense to get Vardy in your team now. Leicester have favourable fixtures against relegation strugglers Watford, Brighton, Bournemouth still to come, with winnable game against Everton and Crystal Palace also on the horizon.
