The Premier League returns following a weekend of third round FA Cup fixtures. Action kicks off on Friday night as Sheffield United host West Ham, so make sure all your transfers are completed before this week’s early deadline.
Let’s take a look at some of the players set to be key performers in Round 22.

Aaron Ramsdale – Bournemouth
The Cherries have endured a tricky spell recently which has seen them drop into the bottom three. However, Ramsdale has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers this season. With relegation rivals – and the league’s lowest scorers – Watford coming to town in Round 22, Eddie Howe’s side stand a good chance of returning to winning ways.
David Luiz – Arsenal
Fantasy Football managers have generally steered clear of picking Arsenal defenders this season, and with good reason. The Gunners have been woeful at the back. But David Luiz is now part of a Mikel Arteta side which has shown defensive discipline in recent weeks. The Brazilian also represents an outside chance of goals.
George Baldock – Sheffield United
While fellow Blades teammate John Lundstram has been grabbing all the headlines this season, George Baldock has slipped under the radar a little bit. Still, the Sheff Utd defender isn’t far behind Lundstram on the FPL points leaderboard. Chris Wilder’s men have put in some outstanding defensive performances this season, so Baldock is a great pick.
Ricahrlison – Everton
Richarlison has contributed a goal and an assist in his first two games under new Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti. With the Toffees seemingly turning a corner, and a favorable run of fixtures ahead for Everton, there probably hasn’t been a better time this season to recruit the Brazilian for your team.
Sadio Mane – Liverpool
After sitting out the Red’s Merseyside derby victory on Sunday, Sadio Mane will be fresh and raring to go this weekend. So far this season, only Jamie Vardy and Kevin De Bruyne have picked up more FPL points than the Senegalese forward. Also, Jurgen Klopp’s side have a Double Gameweek around the corner, so it’s time to start bringing in some Liverpool players.
Neal Maupay – Brighton & Hove Albion
Maupay has been Brighton’s main source of goals this season. The Frenchman has netted seven and assisted one and has established himself as one of the first names on Graham Potter’s team sheet. The Seagulls forward will be full of confidence after his side comfortably beat Bournemouth before claiming a well-deserved draw with Chelsea on New Year’s Day.
Jamie Vardy – Leicester City
The flying Foxes forward is set to return to Leicester’s starting line-up following a spell on the sidelines over the festive period. Brendan Rodgers’ side welcome Southampton to the King Power Stadium this weekend, and after the 9-0 hammering in the reverse fixture, Vardy will surely add to his tally this time around.
