Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 9

Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 9
    18/10/19 6437

With the international break over, we can finally turn our attention back to Fantasy Football.

Following impressive wins in the previous round, Wolves and Aston Villa players are looking like good picks this week, while the likes of Tyrone Mings and Mason Mount will be eager to carry their international form back into the Premier League.

Here are the top picks for Round 9.

    Goalkeeper

    Rui Patricio – Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves backed up their clean sheet against Watford with a seriously impressive clean sheet at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City in Round 8. Only Liverpool and Arsenal have lost fewer Premier League games this season, so with struggling Southampton next up for Wolves, another clean sheet could be on the cards.

    Defenders

    Diego Rico – Bournemouth

Diego Rico has been one of the league’s surprise packages this term. The Spaniard seems to have nailed down the left-back spot at Bournemouth, and has registered 2 assists in the last 4 games. Second-from-bottom Norwich visit the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, so it’s another great opportunity for Diego Rico to pick up some points.

    Tyrone Mings – Aston Villa

Fresh from making his England debut, Tyrone Mings will be full of confidence heading into Aston Villa’s match with Brighton. Just 3 teams have scored less goals than the Seagulls in the league this season, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Mings was to pick up a clean sheet this weekend.

    Midfielders

    Mason Mount – Chelsea

Mason Mount is another player who featured heavily for England during the international break. The youngster has gotten off to a flier this season, and Blues boss Frank Lampard has made Mount a guaranteed starter. With 4 goals and 1 assist in 8 league games so far, Mount could run-riot against struggling Newcastle.

    Adama Traore – Wolverhampton Wanderers

When Adama Traore is in form, you have to put him in your Fantasy team. The winger has often been accused of being inconsistent, but his 2 goals against Manchester City in Round 8 means he is likely to start against Southampton.

    Forwards

    Wesley – Aston Villa

The Brazilian striker scored 2 goals in Aston Villa’s 5-1 thrashing of Norwich last time out, which means he is now averaging a goal every other game in the league. He was a constant threat against the Canaries, and will fancy his chances of adding to his tally when Brighton come to town on Saturday.

    Jamie Vardy – Leicester City

The Leicester striker has played every minute of every Premier League match so far this season, and appears to be back to his best. Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers lets Vardy stay up-field, allowing the team’s creative midfielders to pick him out with through-balls. With 5 goals in 8 games, you’d be foolish to leave him out.
