We are approaching the end of the season in Serie A this weekend. Inter Milano have already won the Scudetto, although there is still quite some action left on both sides of the table and we should witness an exciting final round of fixtures.
This weekend, Fiorentina travel to face FC Crotone who will play in Serie B next season.
The home side didn’t manage to escape the relegation zone and will play their final Serie A game on Saturday night. Fiorentina, on the other hand, are situated mid-table, but have shown quite mediocre results this campaign and won’t participate in the European tournaments next season.
Two teams, who have shown similar results throughout the season, face each other this Saturday, when Cagliari Calcio host Genoa at their Sardegna Arena.
Both sides are safe from relegation, but have only managed to survive by a thin margin. They will be aiming to at least finish the season strong and strive for a better performance next campaign.
The league champions host a struggling Udinese Calcio at their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this Sunday.
The Black and Blues have been splendid throughout their matches this season and deserve to be crowned champions of Italy. Udinese Calcio have won just 1 of their last 6 encounters and it is unlikely that this will change in the final round of the campaign.
Spezia Calcio host a tough opponent in the face of AS Roma at their Stadio Alberto Picco this weekend.
Spezia Calcio are 15th in the standing, but have a healthy lead of 6 points over the relegation zone and will remain in Serie A. The Yellow and Reds will miss the opportunity to play in Europa League next season, but can at least qualify for the newly formed Europa Conference League, which begins the following campaign.
