Borussia Dortmund must win to keep within nine points of Bayern Munich – barring a loss for the league leaders this weekend. Union Berlin have surprised many onlookers this season. The Irons are fourth in the league and could qualify for the Champions League for the first time.
Union Berlin picked up 11 points from the last 18 points available in the Bundesliga. They are coming off of a surprise 2-0 away loss to Augsburg. The defeat ended a run of five straight matches without a loss.
Borussia Dortmund are also coming off of a loss. Bayer Leverkusen claimed a 5-2 victory over Dortmund and simply outplayed them for 90 minutes. Dortmund took 12 points from the last 18 points available in the Bundesliga. They conceded 13 times across those six matches.
Hoffenheim are another Bundesliga team fighting for Champions League qualification. The Blues are three points off of fourth-place Union Berlin. Arminia Bielefeld are battling relegation. They are just outside of the relegation-playoff place courtesy of goal difference.
Arminia Bielefeld could end the weekend in the bottom three unless they win against Hoffenheim. Arminia Bielfeld have drawn their last three games versus Hoffenheim. Earlier this season, they claimed a home nil-nil stalemate.
